🎻🎺🎷🎹🎸🎤Hunter Valley Bruce Springsteen Concert🎤🎸🎹🎷🎺🎻

Yesterday I went to the Bruce Springsteen concert in the Hunter Valley. It took ages (probably 3 hours or more) but arrived FINALLY! Because we got there early, and my dad got an awesome park, my family just waited in the car until the gates were opened (hooray) then sat down in our seats that were a very looooooong way from the stage.

Somehow my brother and dad got in the mosh pit and left my mum and I at our seats just as the concert started. He played the best concert EVER with all my favourite Bruce songs (41 Shots, Wrecking Ball, High Hopes, Ghost of Tom Joad) but when he played Waitin’ on a Sunny Day, guess what? MY BROTHER GOT UP ON STAGE AND SANG WITH BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN! OMG! Mum was in hysterics and people were patting her and I on the back. Jack got 2 guitar picks and to sit on Bruce’s shoulders. I was so happy for him.

Here is the link for the set list for the Hunter Valley concert. Enjoy!

Bruce Springsteen Concert 2014

Last night my family and I went to a Bruce Springsteen concert at Allphones arena. It was my second concert because I went to one a year before. I wore my skinny jeans with my red singlet and boots. We drove in at 5.45 and parked the car a couple of metres from the arena. After we then checked our tickets and went to the bathroom. Soon we found a stall and bought some hot dogs and water. We ate the food (my bun crumbling to crumbs) then hung around until we could sit down in our seats in the arena. After an hour the concert started. He played many of his hits, such as Waiting on a Sunny Day, Darlington County, even the full album of Darkness on the Edge of Town! It was a great concert because I sung and danced and clapped until every centimetre of my body ached. He played two covers, Friday on my Mind and the INXS classic Don’t Change. It was a great concert and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was tired when I got home but I was happy I was there.

A New School

I have recently started a new school, Caringbah North P.S. It’s a good school, with excellent teachers and big playgrounds. I like my school because the work is challenging and I like a good challenge. I made friends on the first day and their names are Jess, Isobel, Mia, Tara, Alice and Emmaline. My teacher is Mrs. Coleby.

Last week my class went on OC camp to Morisset. There is an activity centre there and that is where we stayed. The activities we did were, the Giant Swing, archery, mud world, high ropes, teamwork matrix, rock climbing, abseiling, county fair and moonwalker. My favourite activity was the Giant Swing because it gives you an adrenaline rush.

Now we are starting to get into the routine of homework. So far I am enjoying my new school.

Our Australia Day!!

I had an awesome Australia Day up north at Stockton Beach.

We went with cousins, my dad, my little brother and our uncle and auntie. We started out at 4.00 am. We all wanted to sleep in. Instead we packed our things and drove off to Stockton. We got there just as the sun rose and Dad and my uncle let air out of the tyres. We then entered the beach and found a spot.My dad, my uncle and the kids (including me) went fishing and got our feet wet by the high tide. Although we had many bites on our four lines, we were unsuccessful and caught no fish at all.

After some time, we decided to pack up and go for a drive around the beach. There were a lot of people coming in as we drove around. When we finally located the exit and pumped air into the tyres, we began the drive home, stopping of at a service station to fuel up and get a snack.

Then we went to our cousins house to pick up the rest of our bags as we stayed there the night before, said goodbye to everyone and my dad drove my brother and I home.

I have many photos on a page. Go have a look!

Jamberoo Review

Jamberoo Review

On Friday the 13th of December 2013, my family, including myself, we got in the car and drove off to Jamberoo Action Park. We were all excited, as we couldn’t stop talking. When we arrived in the car park, we selected a park within seconds of our arrival. The good thing about the park was that it took a minute to reach the entrance. Plus there was good security too.

After we checked in and received our passes, we selected a spot to put our gear. Then we began the walk to the Funnel Web. When it was our turn to ride, it was exhilarating as we were pushed off and entered the ride. We laughed the whole way because it was such a rush. The next consecutive time (yes, we went on after the first ride), we screamed the whole way through.

We then encountered The Rock. It was so high up, no wonder there was a sign saying, Warning! This pool is for GOOD swimmers only! Luckily, I can swim. When it was my turn to jump, I was petrified. I screamed for 1 second because I plunged into the water afterwards.

Next we decided to go to Splash Out. The lines were so short, it took less than 5 minutes until I got on. The twists, turns and tunnels were so cool. But nothing prepares you for the big splash at the end. It’s better if you close your eyes though. No wonder we went on multiple times.

After, we went on Surf Hill. The ride is a blast to be on, with the water spraying you as you make your descent to the end of the race. Lying down, screaming, the sheer fun, there is practically no wonder that we went on again.

Our next ride was Rapid River. We rode on many tubes, riding different ways. The ride has many surprises. Waterfalls, bubbles, a strong current, the ride was so super that we went on twice more after our first ride.

Then, after that, we gathered up all our courage and went on the mother of all water slides, the Taipan. We seated ourselves and resisted the twists and turns. With its fearsome reputation, it was a little bit disappointing because it was a short ride and not much excitement, and the only ride we went on once.

After a quick snack, we decided to go on the bobsleds and the chairlift ride. It was so much fun, we all went on with an adult. We moved a little slow and I had to pull myself a little bit but soon that was out of the question as my hands were about to blister from the hot metal. I loved the bobsled ride.

Soon, it was the end of our fun filled day. As we left, I took a photo to keep as a souvenir.

I hope this review allowed you to see different and take your children to this eighth man made wonder of the world.

Thank you a lot for reading this review.

🏊-🚴-🏃

Yesterday I had the opportunity to compete in the Weet Bix TRYathlon with a few friends. I was waiting in anticipation as the siren signalled the start of the three events.
🏊 I enjoyed the swim because I had practised a bit. It was such a rush as we all swam as fast as we could to the edge of the pool. It was a 75m distance.
🚴 I liked the ride because I had been practicing all holidays for this. This was a lot of fun racing people to the very end of the 3km course.
🏃 I wasn’t a huge fan of the run. I have ran 4km before but not before swimming or riding my bike (this was a 500m course).

😃 It was well run with heaps of volunteers turning up this year.
😃Over 2,000 kids took part in this years Triathlon.
😃There were many things you could do while waiting for your event, including an obstacle course, a trampoline and kicking an AFL ball.
